Company Secretarial Assistant

Full time , Permanent , Milton Keynes £30,000 per annum Ref No: IPRS6201
Our client has a permanent vacancy for a Company Secretarial Assistant. Main responsibilities • company secretarial administrative tasks including regularly making up statutory registers for client companies and filing documents at Companies House • using the team’s Blueprint/Diligent database system (ongoing training will be given) to record company director changes, registered office changes and allotment and transfers of shares • carrying out research online using the Companies House website • billing clients for company secretarial work carried out by the individual • opening and closing client/matter file The ideal candidate will be : • detail oriented and focussed on providing the best work product for the group’s clients • enjoy working in a team and as part of the wider corporate division and the firm at large • able to complete tasks on time as required by statutory requirements and/or client demands • adaptable to the fast-moving demands of the group’s clients • able to work in the Milton Keynes office as required, although remote hybrid working could be available for the right candidate • 1 to 2 years’ legal or company secretarial experience would be preferable, although not essential for someone who has worked in professional practice (such as a law, accountancy or another professional services firm). Skills and qualifications Technical skills: • Good IT skills - able to use Word and Excel. • An eye for detail and able to spot errors. • Innovative and able to suggest efficient ways to carry out tasks. • Able to work in a busy team. Personal skills: • A positive “can do” attitude. • Able to work independently with a good sense of responsibility and ability to “own” a task until it is completed. • Organised, efficient and precise. • Open minded about developing and adopting new ways of working • Naturally curious • Demonstrates initiative and really thinks issues through. • Strong communications skills at all levels Due to the large number of responses we receive it is not always possible to respond to every application.
