Assistant Housekeeper

Full time , Permanent , Cranfield £18,806 per annum Ref No: IPRS6255
Our client has a permanent vacancy for an Assistant Hotel Housekeeper. With 60 ensuite bedrooms to look after you will report to the Head Housekeeper and have previous experience in supervising others at a hotel housekeeping department. The role is mainly working Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend cover required, 37 hours per week. The role To be aware of and to comply with company and legal requirements including health, safety and hygiene. To assist in maintaining departmental procedures and work instructions. To monitor that they are followed correctly and that any changes are communicated effectively. To provide team members with ongoing training & development in order to meet both the business and personal development objectives. To ensure that all accommodation and public areas within the designated areas are serviced and maintained in a clean, hygienic and safe condition and to the required standards by making daily checks in all areas To liaise with Head Housekeeper regarding any possible improvements to working methods/standards. To supervise Room Attendants in such a way as to maximise efficiency and allocate them jobs throughout all areas of the department. Implementing effective supervision of hours of work, annual leave, and cover for sickness and prioritising tasks To assist in the recruitment of housekeeping personnel. To assist in carrying out Personal Development Plans/Reviews for the housekeeping team. Using the Kinetics system, to provide a swift turn-around of accommodation to maximise occupancy To ensure cost effective control of resources, including the requisition and usage of cleaning products, laundry and other materials in designated areas To assist in purchasing and distributing team uniforms in line with budgets To carry out health and safety and fire walk rounds to ensure ongoing compliance throughout designated areas To assist in arranging access for and accompanying contractors as and when required. To assist in other areas of the wider housekeeping departments as and when required.
