Our client has a vacancy for a Part Time Legal Secretary, supporting fee earners by performing a variety of administrative duties, including drafting correspondence, answering phones, greeting visitors and communicating with fee earners and clients. This role is a blend of administration and secretarial work. You will be required to work part time hours. The role requires a team player with a professional manner who has a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. The Role • Audio digital dictation and administration support for the team • Transcribe and proofread letters, emails and correspondence • Deal with administrative routines as required to include scanning, printing, paginating, and photocopying • Under supervision, support the fee earners with accounting and billing processes • Be involved in the efficient management of client/matter files to include general filing, file opening, ID checks, preparation of client care letters and terms and conditions, file closure and archiving • Make appointments, arrange meetings and maintain manager/fee earners diary as required • Attend clients both in person and on the telephone, ensuring the confidentiality at all times • Deal with post & DX for the team • Manage meeting rooms, refreshments and other requirements for fee earners • Complete expenses and mileage claims for fee earners • Provide general administrative support for the team with business development events and activities Requirements Previous experience as a legal secretary is desirable but not essential as training is provided Be able to effectively prioritise and meet deadlines Excellent written and oral communication skills High attention to detail High computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office Adaptability and pro-active in approach to work Experience of BigHand desirable Due to the large number of responses we receive it is not always possible to respond to every application.
