Customer Advisor

Full Time, Permanent Milton Keynes £18,435 per annum Ref No: IPRS5680

Due to the introduction of a new service centre, our client has exciting opportunities for full time inbound Customer Advisors to provide an important service. This role would be ideal for someone who has proven high standards of customer service looking to join an organisation that values its people and operates in a professional environment.

The hours of operation are Mon-Fri 8am to 8pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm. You will work either 5 days per week Mon-Fri or 4 days per week including every other Saturday. Initially the role will be offered on a temporary basis, but likely to become a permanent position for the right candidates.

The key purpose of the role is to manage contact from members of the public or professional users (calls and emails) in a polite, professional and appropriate manner ensuring that an accurate response is given in compliance with the operating procedures.

You will deal with enquires in a helpful, proactive and professional manner and confidently assist and signpost customers when appropriate.

Provide guidance to customers to assist them with their application

Update professional user registrations using the in house system

You will need to ensure that in responding to requests by customers, data protection guidelines are strictly adhered to. You will also be required to log information accurately to a central database and carry out other additional administrative duties as required.

The successful candidate must:
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
• Basic working knowledge of MS Office
• Effective communication skills with excellent telephone manner
• Excellent listening and questioning skills, with the ability to extract detailed and relevant information
• Able to use own initiative and to work within defined procedures

Ideally you will have experience of working in a role with telephone call handling, however this is not essential.
