Our client has a 6 month fixed term contract for an Internal Control Coordinator. You will be working with the Internal Control and Compliance Manager, and part of the wider Finance Team. This is very much an Audit role where you will provide operational, financial, risk and compliance innovation, change management, challenge and support to the whole of the UK business to improve efficiency, accuracy and financial performance. You will identify risk across the business e.g. financial and reputational and to create, design and influence the business to implement the required change, including appropriate controls and behaviour. The role will require you to create, define and monitor (as appropriate) fraud, theft, legal, regulatory and financial compliance policies and procedures across the business. Requirements • Experience of a financial environment (either financial and/or operational) and knowledge of financial and card services • Ability to write persuasive and effective reports, which clearly define and communicate findings and their causes, and recommendations made • Experience of performing analytical review and systematically identifying which data to gather, which sources to use, to gather information from a variety of sources, analyse information, identify implications of data, draw appropriate conclusions, generate viable alternative solutions to a question or problem, and evaluate the consequences of choosing each alternative knowledge of and ability to challenge financial processes, such as reporting, forecasting/budgeting, audit and contracts • Excellent standard of report writing, with ability to adapt reports to the audience to best attain buy-in and business improvement • Experience and success in proactively identifying where improvement can be added across all areas of the business, including strategic methodologies e.g. amendments to ways of working or training • Ability to remain professional, gain and maintain respect of colleagues from every level of the business • Dynamic, flexible and able to respond quickly to the requirements of the business e.g. changing priorities, new methodologies • Highly motivated and able to work equally well as a part of a team or alone • Experience of working to deadlines and working on multiple projects simultaneously whilst delivering to quality • Experience of working outside their main area of expertise to embrace new challenges and priorities with enthusiasm and positivity • Strong planning, time management, prioritisation and co-ordination skills • Self-starter with proactivity in identifying areas for improvement across all areas of the business • Experience of using skills, relationships, network and communication ability to identify and resolve areas requiring improvement across the business and Group • Ability to see the big picture and higher-level impacts of work / actions being performed • Experience of producing and reviewing at a detailed level, and having the ability to produce accurate reporting to quality within timeframes Due to the large number of responses we receive it is not always possible to respond to every application.
