Our client operates within the professional services sector and has a permanent vacancy for an IT project Manager. This role would suit a motivated individual who is an exceptional communicator, possesses detailed awareness of IT infrastructure and systems and with very strong project oversight, analysis and reporting abilities. Travel to other offices will be required.
Candidates must demonstrate an ability to bring people together across an organisation behind positive change in order to achieve project targets and seamless working. The role requires the ability to deal with a diverse range of people across all levels and deliver numerous projects to timescales. Knowledge and experience of working with PRINCE2, Agile or other industry qualifications would be desirable.
Role & Responsibilities
Agreeing project objectives with IT Director and Partner
Identifying the needs of the client and the organisation, and reporting regularly to senior stakeholders
Providing advice on the management of project deliverables
Organisation of project resources to ensure maximum output and efficiency
The ability to identify and assess project risks, reporting on solutions not just problems.
Ensure that all project aims, and requirements are met
Management of quality standards, and ensuring that these are adhered to and met in the project duration
Evaluation of project success against benchmarks and driving lessons or best practice with management and other teams
Qualifications, skills and experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Project Management
Experience of implementing core legal business applications including PMS, DMS and CRM will be critical
Good university degree (or equivalent qualifications)
Knowledge of managing projects and resources to tight deadlines, with efficiency and accuracy
Proven experience of being a motivator and leading by example
Experience of working in either a SME or functional support in a larger organisation
Great communication skills, both verbally and written
PRINCE2, Agile or similar qualification
Positive, can-do mindset with a relentless focus on delivering to the brief
Results-oriented individual who thrives working in a fast-paced environment and maintains a calm approach and sound judgement when operating under pressure
Focus on measurement of milestones and key success metrics with a view to continuously improve processes and the skillsets within the team
Meticulous attention to detail, while also able to exercise judgement and common sense
Can build strong working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally, instilling confidence and trust
Ability to drive a team towards a common objective
Highest levels of integrity and ability to handle sensitive/confidential issues and information appropriately
