Our client has a permanent vacancy for a Learning & Development Specialist to design, deliver, evaluate and support the learning and development solutions for the business ensuring at all times that compliance and best practice are observed and customer service excellence is the core activity. The role is based in Bedford and involves national travel. You will need a minimum of 5 years experience in multi site operation The Role: • Facilitate training and learning events in line with the L&D strategy and business needs • Instructional design of a wide range of employee learning solutions, both online & face to face • Identify training and development needs and produce a detailed learning needs analysis for the management population • Ensure the delivery of high quality, innovative and engaging learning and development solutions ensuring that they deliver all required aspects of the employees learning needs including onbaording and job requirements • To implement and support the effective annual review programme for all teammates • To oversee the training of new managers into the business and liaise with other People Team teammates to ensure smooth on-boarding of all employees • To take full accountability for the LMS training platform • To liaise with Operations team and People Team BP’s to ensure that training is consistent and adequate • To provide coaching and guidance where identified and/or specified by the Director of People and Talent or your line manager • To ensure the consistent approach of initiatives within the business • To assist in the audit and review compliance with agreed HR and training policies and procedures. • To keep abreast of developments in relevant employment legislation and practice, implementing and advising on changes as necessary. • To assist P&T BP’s with performance management process, to ensure all training requirements are completed in a timely manner • To monitor, measure and report on training issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales. • To provide ad hoc HR support to the wider People Team as and when required • To be responsible for the Apprenticeship programme within the business and to monitor levy spend, ensure the consistency of training provider applies to the needs of the business. • To liaise and support if necessary, the development of technical training to the business. • To be responsible for the development, support and line management of the Talent Development Support Teammate, including the CIS process The Person: Ambitious, energetic and dedicated individual with a passion for driving business performance. High level of academic achievement, high learning agility and a proven ability of achieving and surpassing targets and objectives.
