Our client has a vacancy for a dynamic Business Development & Marketing professional to support the firm’s ambitious goals for the future. In this exciting role you will be supporting the fee-earners in the Milton Keynes and Northampton offices to build effective and commercial relationships with clients, referrer and target contacts in the local market. The role also includes responsibility for tenders and pitch proposals across the firm, supports annual directory submissions and the delivery of marketing initiatives to help protect and grow the client base in Milton Keynes and Northampton markets. They are looking for someone that has a genuine enthusiasm for BD/marketing and a positive outlook. The people within their teams have different personalities and needs; so a flexible and pragmatic approach is required. The role also demands an ability to demonstrate commercial thinking and to listen and converse at all levels throughout the firm. THE ROLE: • Assisting Partners and fee earners in the Milton Keynes and Northampton offices to deliver their business plans by developing and managing bespoke business development campaigns to raise profile and win new work; • Taking a lead role in assisting Partners with their tender and pitch opportunities; • Researching new business opportunities and helping fee earners to qualify new target contacts; • Assisting Partners and fee earners to manage their pipeline of contacts on the central database; • Assisting in the management of annual directory submissions, liaising with fee earners across the firm; • Planning and co-ordinating marketing events and seminars in the Milton Keynes and Northampton offices. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE: • Solid previous B2B experience of working in a business development/marketing role in a legal or similar professional services partnership /firm; • Are highly organised with the ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines; • Have demonstrable experience of managing multiple projects at once; • Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral; • Are pro-active and able to work on your own initiative; • Have a keen eye for detail.
