Our client has a permanent, full time position for a Systems Developer to work within the business on bringing ideas, analysis and advice of creative business processes leading to implementation, development, administration and support of the business functions and management applications.
Work as part of the IT team to identify, develop and implement appropriate business solutions.
Use appropriate technologies and applications to ensure the continuity, performance and security of systems and services.
Design and deliver software and data solutions to ensure service quality and effectiveness.
Work independently or as part of a team – which may be cross-functional - to ensure the delivery of integrated services to users.
Adopt a proactive approach to the identification and resolution of potential problems.
Proactively seek opportunities for developing business solutions and service enhancements to meet the needs of colleagues and end users.
Contribute to the development and monitoring of team strategies and plans. Maintain an awareness of internal operations with an eye to finding development opportunities.
Collect, analyse and present reports and results to inform decision making within relevant areas.
Provide specialist/professional advice, information and assistance to users – either directly or through the Helpdesk – to resolve problems and to maximise service quality, efficiency and continuity.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience of developing internal applications and portals for an ambitious company, using such tools as APIs, ETL, scripts, office templates and a variety of reporting methods while paying attention to screen design and user experience.
Understanding of current web technologies and system development techniques, standards and practices.
Ability to share technical experience and knowledge with other developers.
Ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the firm to develop requirements and specifications to deliver solutions.
