Our client has a vacancy with an immediate start for a Post Room & Goods Inwards Assistant. This is an ongoing temporary role. The working hours are 8am till 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday and 8am till 4pm on Friday, total of 37 hours a week. This role would suit someone with experience in a busy post room, with good communication and organisational skills.
You will be required to work within a small team, responsible for Goods Inwards work relating to collection, storage and transfer goods. All the goods need to be input and output from the tracking system. The administration of the goods process includes storage, delivery, personal/business collections and arranging deliveries.
You are required to deliver a high level of Customer Service including investigating numerous enquiries about deliveries by telephone and email.
For accurate records, all goods need to be scanned and added into the parcel tracking software. Once on the system, the recipients are notified on delivery or collection, depending on the item. Deliveries are organized and carried out by the Administrator and some deliveries are then given to the Mailroom team on a priority basis.
You will also be required to provide cover for the Mailroom team including the dispatch of courier items using the courier online portal to initiate shipment and collections around the world and to carry out a mail sorting and delivery service to 60 locations around the business.
